Turtle Tuesday: Flying Lessons

Welcome to Turtle Tuesday! Don't worry. B's not really on her soap box today. This is a SIGN. A sign of what God wants to do with all of us.

Meet B, the turtle dove.

In November, B was sitting in her church's Bible study, The Inheritance by Beth Moore. B and her friend B, the artist affectionately call Beth the 'Big B'. During the first session, God nudged the little b to ask the 'Big B' to b a part of what He was doing in the Village. B obeyed. She wrote Beth a letter sharing God's vision for the low income housing project known as the Village.

To color His world

Bring light into the darkness.

Living Proof Ministries said yes to our request. The BB's are now going weekly to the Village leading the Inheritance Bible Study. The ladies are loving it! We call our gatherings with the women 'Flying Lessons.'

Did you know when you get enough of the WORD in you, YOU CAN FLY?

Last week B shared two bars of Dove soap with each woman. One bar was a gift to them and the other was for sharing. It gave them an opportunity to spread the Lord's touch in their Village. The Dove bars carried this message written on the box.
Isa 40:31 those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles;they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isa 40:31

If you want to fly, check with The Strong Tower above. B did. The runway has been cleared. It's time to fly. B's off for "Moore" flying lessons today. She can already feel the wind in her feathers and the sun on her shell.

Yes Julie, turtles can fly!

B His Girl

So I was copying something on my own blog (http://on-my-mind-2010.blogspot.com/2009/12/conduit-not-container.html), and out of curiosity clicked the "Next blog" link. It brought me here. What an AWESOME blessing!

    Just wanted to say, "Hi!"

    God bless,

  10. Oh B this is a great post today!
I have been on the ground just waiting for take off.
I leave soon to be with Beth Moore and many others for a celebration. Here is a verse that was posted on her blog. "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart." (Psalm 91:4)
As always, I cannot wait to see what else God has has in store for his beautiful"B's"

  11. God gave me a small white feather yesterday. I found it on the floor inside my house! It's time to FLY while He covers me with the feathers of His wings! Flying is scary at first - but once He pushes us out -------- we will learn to SOAR!

I loved this post especailly the Dove soap box!

You go girl! Fly High with the Most High!

  12. Oh I love your post! When we "get enough of the word in us, we can fly!"

And way to go with approaching Beth Moore with your idea. I think many times God wants to use us in great ways, but we don't follow through because we can't believe it is us that He would possibly want to do great things through. Thank you for the joyful encouragement you give to us in your posts.
