Turtle Tuesday: The Missing B

Ok. It's time to talk.
Many of you have written B emails, comments, and prayers saying you were missing B. Thank you so much. I have definitely been as they say in the military AWOL. Absent Without Official Leave from my posts.

Mayb you can relate to the thought of being AWOL today too...just in a different way. Here is a question for you.

Are YOU doing what God has called YOU to do during your time of service? (pause)

Sometimes we go AWOL in our walk with the Lord or at the very least get distracted by the things of this world. I know B does. Recently God spotted B, the missing turtle hiding out in Costco. She wasn't looking for a message. She was enjoying the taste tests! However the Lord had a simple but profound statement He wanted her to chew on as she paused to open Max Lucado's new book, Out Live Your Life.

The Lord wasn't finished with His message to B. Within the hour He had a 'Home Goods' picture of the look He was going for in B's life.

Unshelled and Missing...

Col 3:1-4 (The Message)

3 So if you're serious about living this new resurrection life with Christ, act like it. Pursue the things over which Christ presides. 2 Don't shuffle along, eyes to the ground, absorbed with the things right in front of you. Look up, and be alert to what is going on around Christ — that's where the action is. See things from his perspective.

3 Your old life is dead. Your new life, which is your real life — even though invisible to spectators — is with Christ in God. He is your life. 4 When Christ (your real life, remember) shows up again on this earth, you'll show up, too — the real you, the glorious you. Meanwhile, be content with obscurity, like Christ.

B unshelled and missing.

  8. I hope I'm doing as he wants...

Even still, there are moments and days when I understand that I've missed him because of the urgency of the moment. How I pray for a slowing pace and willing obedience to drink him in.

Blessed rest to you this weekend, and thanks for your continuing prayers.

  9. I loved this - unshelled and missing...

We can never hide from God - He knows where we are and He knows our hearts. We're all AWOL from time to time - Life in general becomes so overwhelming sometimes that we just want to hide our head or run away. For what ever reason - I'm glad to see a peek of you :) So - I guess you're not really missing - just missing from blogland.

It's ok. I don't let my blog dictate my day - and since I recently found some of my comments from other's posts in a google search - I've decided that It doesn't matter how often I post or comment - What matters is my ministry of encouragement to others and their reciprocating ministry to me - at precise times in our lives. The prayers - the contact - the shared experiences - identifying us with Christ and unifying our voice. It matters to me that my voice can be heard all over the globe and not just in my circle of followers. For generations to come - our voice will be heard from blogland in a simple google search. We have no control over who's going to be reading what we write - unless we choose to not share.

My point - our testimony is valuable - the more ways we share it the better. Someone - someday will click a mouse and just might be encouraged to seek Jesus. Now wouldn't that B an awesome thing!!!

Just one post - one comment could change a life! B'cause we chose to share - doesn't matter how much time and effort we put into this blogging thing. If we give it to Jesus - He's in control and he does the leading...we just have to B a follower of JESUS rather than each other.

I have found that when you have more followers than one person can literally keep up with - particularly in heavy seasons of overwhelming responsibility - I rely on the Lord to keep me in balance - and let Him lead me to whomever He wants to encourage with my post or a comment. I'm blessed when just one person is blessed by something He caused me to share. That's why I blog.

Just like today - I was blessed by your blessing on my bridge today. It made my heart sing. I have missed you - but I have been praying when the Lord prompts me to pray for you. Just walk - it will be OK.

'UNSHELLED' - could mean 2 different things - FREEDOM and yet UNPROTECTED - particularly if you're B the turtle. :) I pray that the protection of the Lord cover you with His shalom of heaven - today. May you B shelled and armored for whatever comes your way.

    hugs,
