Turtle Tuesday: How Great Thou Art

B, the clay turtle dishes up a word for all who want to serve the Lord and not man.

Become the kind of container God can use to present any and every kind of gift to his guests for their blessing. 2 Tim 2:21

  3. Barbara,

I think you left me a comment weeks ago that I never responded to. Did you tell me that you might be moving to GA? If you do, you be sure and let me know and we will connect.

  7. So I decided to look up that scripture in other translations and also ran across verse 20 in the Message.

"In a well-furnished kitchen there are not only crystal goblets and silver platters, but waste cans and compost buckets—some containers used to serve fine meals, others to take out the garbage."

I'm feeling a bit more like the container used to take out the garbage right now. (I say that with a smile.)

    Love you!

  11. I don't know how I missed this post the other day but I did. Maybe God knew that I didn't need it then but I do now. What a beautiful dish that is. Not because it is particularly fancy or expensive but because it has a purpose and is very useful. That is how our worth is measured.

    Thanks for the encouragement, B!

  15. If He can use me - cracks and all - I'm humbled!

Last night a group of us drove to NYC to the Brooklyn Tabernacle to their Tuesday night prayer meeting. Before we got lost I looked out the window as we were going over the brige where you could see the statue of liberty in the background... and there in the sunsetting sky was a feather in the cloud made of rainbow colors. Everyone in the car gasped with me - and then there was another one. They quickly faded. We got lost - but then we found our way in time to Worship our Great God in that spirit filled place!
Only God! We could nothing else but PRAISE our God!

I tried capturing it on film - not sure what will come out - I'll see if it's worth posting.

    Collecting feathers with you!

    Choosing JOY,
