COLOR MY WORLD.
My friend B, the artist aka Betty Shoopman also received the same message apart from me and recorded it in her journal. God has the BB's on the same page. We are supposed to color together: ) Today on Turtle Tuesday Betty shares her sketch of what God has called the BB's to do in the world.
See the before and after pictures below.
You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We're going public with this, as public as a city on a hill. 15 If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. 16 Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand — shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you'll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven. Matt 5:14-16
Where in the world do you need to break open the box and color?
B His Girl
Would one hide treasure from loved ones? Would one keep food from those who are starving? water from those who thirst?
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't cost one cent to OPEN OUR MOUTHS and proclaim the love of Jesus. Thank you Barbara for keeping Him at the forefront of your life and being a walking testimony. I am glad I am not a "Wanna-B His Girl" since I already said Yes to Jesus. Let's spread the Good News - all we have to do is receive His gift and open our mouths!
Love you, Leslie
I love this. We are to be salt & light (& COLOR!) to the world so that they can see God through us. Keep shining!
ReplyDeleteThis is awesome B! Praise the LORD!
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful the drawings turned out. I loved this little light of mine song as a child and would humm it every where I went. God bless you.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Heidi
Love this post. God is speaking to his busy Bs. Keep on coloring His love to those who others ignore. You are making a difference. I can't wait to hug you!
ReplyDeletePS this pic reminds me of the pics I sent you in the mail. Colorful feathers. Colorful rainbow.
ReplyDeleteFirst time to blog! What a great reminder to us all. To always be that shining light but as you so cleverly put - color the world. Each one of us is so unique in what we offer and how - may we honor that uniqueness by coloring with the colors God created us in.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.

You are so COLORFUL, B, and encouraging. We are indeed called to color a dark, bleak world. Thanks for reminding me to allow His colors to shine through me.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed week, Barbara!
I love this Barbara! I think about color a lot, especially in my line of work. I never thought of it quite like this. What a great perspective!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to hearing more about this new journey with B.
Love and blessings to you my sweet, and colorful friend!
You are filled with color, B! I love your little turtle. He is just begging for some color.
ReplyDeleteI'm trying B. I keep breaking out the crayons and trying to paint but some other people keep putting them away. Perhaps I need to use something a little more powerful like paint.
ReplyDeletelove the pictures. God always gives me words...I so appreciate a beautiful picture, B! With light comes color.
ReplyDeleteB thank you so much for your kind words on my post today, your so wonderful. God is definately good, and I know he has blessed me with my family we fit perfectly together, we are close, I love my children, he knew what he was doing when he brought their little souls into my life, they truly are the ones who made me the person I am today. They make me want to be the best mother possible, and a healthy mom. Take care.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Heidi
Love the visuals B! What a contrast the color of The Light makes to a drab world!

Barbara, loved this post. But miss you lots!
ReplyDeleteAre you going to post about your tiny little friend?
Love you!
Hi B! Oh how I miss you! How can this be? I just love how the Lord knits hearts together.
ReplyDeleteI'm anxious to see your post on the retreat and your "friend."
Love ya!
Hey dear B! I was just enjoying the delicious B chocolate turtle you gave us and as I sit here at 10:30 am with it melting in my mouth (smile) I thought of you and so I popped over for a dose of that beautiful smile of yours. I love and miss you and was so incredibly honored to meet you B. You have such a precious heart for the Lord.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you! Thanks for being obedient all the times you have contacted me with a word:) Stopping by quickly just to say hi. Love, Heaven
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! A few days ago I figured out that it was you who sent the helicopter to Andrew! Thanks so much, Barbara. He is enjoying it, though he has to have his brother fly it for him right now. But soon he'll have the use of his left hand and can fly again, I just know it!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I have a connection who is trying to get me in touch with the other Andrew so I can deliver the shawl and print. Getting closer.
Love,
Melanie
B, I love this post. Between this visual and an e-mail on how God colors our world today, I'm ready to take out the crayons!
ReplyDeleteMeeting you this weekend was wonderful fun!
Love,
Teresa
I am here again looking for the NEW. No post yet. SMILE.
ReplyDeleteI LOVED this B. I have thought of you several times this weekend. Saw your heart for Jesus over and over!
ReplyDeleteI keep watching for a story to develop over something we talked about ;)
Just stopping by to say hi. I saw you in several pictures of the retreat. It looked like a wonderful time. Wish I could have been there.
ReplyDeleteLove you!
