Dreams

I am blown away by the lady in this video. Her name is Susan Boyle. God has given her a very special gift. The Lord flooded my heart with thoughts of Him as I heard her sing . This video stirs my dream with God. It is alive just like He is. It reminds me all things are possible with Him. Hear I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserable.

  2. Hi B,
I watched this video a few days and love it. It made me smile. It's like a big, , beautiful, unexpected surprise got caught on tape and we have the privilege of witnessing it.

Don't know if you ever saw "Walk the Line", but in that movie my favorite scene is when Johnny Cash is "discovered". There's just something so special about letting the gift wtihin us come out.

A dream is a powerful thing!

    I miss you sweet girl!!

  5. I have to agree with Kelly. I think that most people in the crowd as well as the judges and myself included would judge this woman before we heard her sing but as she showed us she had more inside than we gave her credit for. God please forgive me and help me to see through your eyes.

  6. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this!
47...still hoping...still dreaming a dream...and the fortitude to prepare from aged 12 ~ 47 for the moment when millions of people would hear her give voice to her gift!
Melanie@Bella~Mella who still dreams her dreams, too!

  7. Sweetie, I heard/saw it on Fox news yesterday morning and bust into tears because...

    1. I loved the fact that everyone in that audience was thrown by her age/look and so on so didn't expect her to do what she did. Goes to show -- never judge a book by it's cover!

    2. She belt out that song beautifully!

    3. She's 47 yrs old which gives any woman who may need it that special ENCOURAGEMENT TO PRESS IN and never give up on your dreams and goals that GOD has placed within.

    4. She's sweet and down to earth and that is always the type of person that blesses me.

Thanks for sharing and may we all follow the dreams God has placed in us.

I know I was REVIVED in listening to her in my heart where I have buried a few dreams of my own.

    Love you.

  9. I too, watched the video a few days, but just watched it again with hubby and daughter.

It really moves me--and I think why it has caught on so is that as a society we judge by appearances, and this is a perfect example that things are not always as they seem.

We all like to root for the underdog--it's the Rocky story all over.

We all want to believe that we are more than what the world sees on the outside--Thank God that He believes in us!

Thanks for sharing the video, Barbara.

  10. You know part of the story to this painting. How, when it was painted I didnt know which way was right side up.... whether those are God's hands or ours...He is the Mighty One who pours out blessings
in ways we cant even begin to imagine. He used Susan Boyle... to bless MORE than she could imagine.
    Keep dreamin, girl.
    Thank you, LORD! Amen

  11. Wow! I absolutely love the way she absoulutely knocked them over with her voice. All those people ridiculing her and mocking her, but in the end they were humbled. It makes me think of what it will be like when Christ comes again.

Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your prayers. I'm so amazed by the friendships that God has given me in this blogosphere.

Sorry I haven't been by lately. Lots of things going on over here. I will be in and out a bit I think.

    Love you much my friend!

  12. Seeing her sing makes me believe more and more in dreams. She is amazing. I pray God opens up many doors for her to use her gift! And I love it that she's over 40. I'm there and still have dreams.

    Hugs,
    Tiffany

  14. It's not so amazing to me, I think, that Susan Boyle is now one of the most famous people in the world. I watched this for the first time the other day, and though I knew she was a sensation, those first notes she sung almost brought tears to my eyes.

It was so rewarding to see the reaction on all those people's faces when she was finished. People who, moments before, were snickering.

Don't hide your gifts, indeed. Because we all have them for a reason.
