Turtle Tuesdays

Today B, the hanging turtle feels the pull in her life to b a 'Martha'. You know the Martha B is talking about. Mary's sister. Martha is known for b'ing a busy b on an occasion when Jesus was a guest in her home. (Luke 10:38-42) Martha was worried about all the work she had to do. She even complained to Jesus about it. The King of Kings was in her house and other things, lesser things captured her attention.

Well, this B is b'ing distracted by MANY things but she is determined to chose what is better like Mary. How is today working for you?

Choose this day who you will serve.

Remain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. John 15:4

  2. It's a constant battle, particularly for Type A personalities like moi. But I CHOOSE HIM daily. My heart is HIS, and I am trusting HIM to help me walk it out more accurately every day.

Blessings to you, my friend. :)

  3. I 'B'elieve that it is best to B both Mary and Martha with a balance in tact. How do I know this? I would rather B Mary - spending all my time sitting at Jesus's feet and gleaning every detail from His Word. Yet at some point the Lord interrupts me and reminds me that there are people out there to serve and love and care for - so off I go to B a Martha for a time. There is definitely a balance for 'B'eing both. Thanks for this post!

PS: I got 3 feathers on Sunday - [posted about them yesterday] Any new ones for you?

  4. Like Julie, I'm a Type A who gets pulled in many directions. May I choose better, choose wisely the correct way to go.

  5. This B is missing time hanging with her designated B friend. God is present all ways, but there are
many distractions to turn this turtle into a tail spin!

Lord, help me to be more like you.
In Jesus Name I pray. Amen.

  6. Well you caught me off guard with this one. I started reading and I began thinking; Martha Steward has a sister named Mary? I didn't know that. I think I need more coffee. So that is how my day is going. And like some of the others it is because I am getting pulled in so many directions. I too must choose wisely and I choose Jesus.

  11. It is amazing what distractions catch our eyes (and our hearts).

Father, I just pray for my friend "B" and pray that she would "B" able to "B" everything that you want her to "B". I also pray that she would "B" able to focus on the things you want her to focus on. Mary was able to just sit and "B" in the presence of Jesus, while Martha felt she had to "do". Lord, teach us all to simply "B" in your presence and "B" your Beloved...In Jesus' name, Amen
