More Squirrel-ly Thoughts

I received this word yesterday after I posted on Turtle Tuesday. Day's powerful . It proved true all day. I have missed signs like this before. One day I saw Bstories. Can you believe I smiled quickly and passed by those words without capturing the moment? I have regretted it ever since. Sometimes the word 'DUH' goes off in my head like a fire alarm!

God wanted B, the turtle to tell her "Rock Your World Squirrel" story yesterday. Evidently, He spoke to some of you in it based on your comments and personal emails to me. Yesterday the Lord let B know she needed to share MORE on this. Instead of waiting until Squirrel-ly Saturdays, she knew the time was now.

After B, the turtle got over the initial shock of how the Lord spoke to her, she started pondering the meaning of His words to her. She went to the Lord in prayer about the whole scenario. "Lord" she said, "Are you calling me a squirrel?" B sensed a loving 'yes' to her question. To b a totally truth telling turtle, I have to tell you this....my neck stiffened a little, well, maybe a lot, over being referred to as a squirrel. I know I am a turtle, but to have some squirrel in me was a bit much for me to take. When was I ever going to get this 'walking by faith' stuff right?

I travel home from work that day and saw this. A squirrel in the middle of the road. This time Rocky saw me approaching. He ran back and forth across the yellow lines, not being able to make a decision on which way he was going. Earlier, in my encounter with Rocky, he did the same thing. Rocky couldn't seem to commit to crossing the road. He was stuck in the middle, going nowhere.

B, the turtle understood MORE from the squirrel-ly message.

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ. EPH 4: 11-16

The Lord wanted B to Grow up. He wants the same for ALL of you. Your calling has not changed. It doesn't matter whether you feel it today or not. If He has told you something, BELIEVE IT. His name is Faithful and True. I want to leave you with a SIGN today.
Capture this moment for yourself. KEEP MOVING FORWARD...Squirrel, even if you do it at a turtle's pace.

If you do, God is going to ROCK YOUR WORLD. Walk in His love for you today!

B His Girl

  1. Yep, the squirrel in the middle of the road who is not sure which way to go-forward or backward- describes my thoughts and emotions lately.
But I'm sticking with these words: Keep moving. Don't back up.
Better hold on tight [to Him]when He "rocks my worlds!"
You know, I thought I had a "typo" when I saw I typed an "s" after "world". I deleted the ending "s" but then a whisper from God to put it back because He will rock my worlds.
Remember my word for the year "Double." Yes, worldS.

  3. Oh how we sometimes act like Moses in your last passage - we want to stop & stand still to talk about all that God has done and we waste time just sitting idle - when all the while - God is saying - "OK - glad you got it but Move it on Forward now..." We don't always have time [in God's time] to waste time. Sometimes we just sit too long in one place - after a good work has been accomplished. Yes, like squirrel - we get to the middle of the road and get stuck in a traffic jam.

As always - your timing is God's timing. I love how you write this and capture it especially since I am such a visual person.

This part [you wrote] spoke to me tonight:
"Your calling has not changed. It doesn't matter whether you feel it today or not. If He has told you something, BELIEVE IT. His name is Faithful and True."

Another PS: for both of us... after I wrote my post comment and told you that God gave me those beat up feathers yesterday - just before bed on my living room floor was a beautiful golden brown feather - in perfect soft form - like it was freshly formed. It was as though God spoke healing over my beat up enemy ravaged body - and said to that enemy, "Enough is enough - It's time for her to be healed!" And then... I had one of the best night's sleep that I've had in the last 30 days! Praise God! He is FAITHFUL and TRUE!!!

    Choosing JOY,

  7. "Your calling has not changed. It doesn't matter whether you feel it today or not. If He has told you something, BELIEVE IT."

This spoke volumes to my heart today.

And I love that you immediately asked the Lord what He was saying to you B and heard His response.

  8. I think we are all hearing that we need to believe our calling. I'm feeling both squirelly and slow like a turtle.

It's time to walk by faith, not by sight more fully!

    Loved talking with you..

  11. Yep, I'm stuck in the middle with you. :)

The answer appears to be in here. (naturally)

"KEEP MOVING FORWARD...Squirrel, even if you do it at a turtle's pace."

Not quite sure what "forward" is but...
