Yesterday my daughter's car blocked my vehicle in the garage so I took my 12 year old son to school in hers. She is a senior and often her car is a highly decorated moving sign. Teens not only love to text on their phones but also enjoy tagging their vehicles as well. I have to say it was a little embarrassing to be the reading material in the car pool line. 'Say Yes' was the message seen driver's side of the car as we dashed off to school. The tagger wanted Megan to 'Say Yes' and be their date for Prom.
I didn't think much about my car sign until I read Lysa Terkeurst's post last night from Proverbs31.org. Here is part of her Release post.
"Why not make today the day you start saying yes to God? Why not utter this prayer, "God before I even know what it might cost me or require of me, I choose to say yes to you." And then get up from praying and dare to look for God's amazing invitation for you to trust Him- for you to say yes."

I had a holy pause as I read this. The picture of my daughter's car window flashed before my eyes. 'Say Yes'. It was clear to me Jesus was behind the wheel of that Camry. You may not see Him in the photo but He is there. He tagged B's heart.
He doesn't want the 99.9% I have given Him. Jesus wants everything. Every single crevice in me. I know I am blogging this post to the choir, but aren't we the ones who sing the song... I Surrender All. Are you at 100%? My voice was never meant to sing solo. Trust me on that.
If you are reading this, consider yourself tagged, not by me, but by Him. Will you 'Say Yes'?

As a visual learner B, I loved this post! I love the intimacy of our God who shows those of us that need to see a sign, a sign! The invisible God highly visible in our everyday world.
ReplyDelete100% - Yes Lord!
WHEW! I'm like Lora a visual learner and I wrapped myself all around this message.
ReplyDeleteBefore I even read your words I saw the sign and thought: YES LORD! My answer is YES!
Then I read your words and I had to shout before I could respond. Praise the LORD!
He always gets the message to us in ways that we can HEAR HIM! We only need to dare to listen and obey. Praise His Holy Name.
Thanks for this today dear sister. Love you.
I'm tagged. Deep in my heart!
ReplyDeleteGod's always speaking. I love that you hear Him like I do.
Thank you for your obedience in writing this post.
God's going to use it!
BIG!
Love this and you,
Tiffany
Yes, Lord, Yes, Lord, yes, yes, Lord! amen!
ReplyDeleteTeenagers crack me up, B. How brave of you to drive you daughter's car anyway! LOL
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way...YES LORD! :)
Oh to be young again!! I love this! I love the tagging thing! I love that God tagged me with what He asked of me last night [again]!
ReplyDeleteDo you TRUST ME?
YES, Lord, I DO!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, B! Wow - I'm in amazement mode already and that's just what I wrote about today! Maybe there are more feathers to be found [or brought to us] today!!!
You captured this one for sure!
Blessings to you sweet girl!
Choosing JOY,
Stephanie
[JESUS - the One I Worship]
It's so true. Maybe they need to change the song to I surrender _____ (insert percentage) But then that wouldn't flow like the real song. I am tagged and I thank you. I think I see someone sitting there in that car.
ReplyDeleteI say "YES". Praying for movement. :)
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Yes! That is awesome...Jesus behind the wheel!
ReplyDeleteLOL! My daughter picked up my son from track last weekend and they left his car overnight in the school parking lot...the next day she took him to town to get it. When she came home, she said "someone wrote the "f" word all over his windows"
My heart sunk until she told me the word was "ford". My boy likes Chevy and makes a big deal about it...I guess they got him!
Came back over to wish you a blessed Mother's Day. Love you!
ReplyDeleteThat is awesome! I love how the Lord speaks to you and I LOVE how you share it!
ReplyDeleteSo, did she say yes? LOL.
I love this! Girl, can you hear me shouting YES!
